Jennelle is one of the most beautiful people I know, both inside and out! So when she approached me about taking her senior photos, I was incredibly excited. I met Jennelle a few years ago when I started teaching – she has an amazing eye for photography, and always helps lead our art team to a state title with her pieces. She is so grounded and her sense of adventure is magnetic. When she first showed me her portfolio, I was so surprised…she loves capturing abandoned buildings! When I’m out and about, I’m always on the lookout for fun spots for her to explore later.
When Jennelle and I were planning her session, she mentioned that she wanted to find a spot with wildflowers. The only downfall was that our session was scheduled for November. Wildflowers have long since gone, fall colors are about to disappear, and you never know what the weather will do. Despite that, I hoped to meet her request.
I searched my favorite photo spots, and one of my Fort Worth locations still had some wild grass! One of the best parts about this spot is how versatile it is, which you’ll see in the images below. We even got the chance to test out my newest prop chair from World Market that Jennelle helped pick out. Seriously, they have the best furniture.
The entire session had such fun energy to it! Jennelle wore the cutest romper, which was the perfect outfit for our “wildflowers.” She’s a varsity volleyball player and plays in the symphonic band, so we highlighted her accomplishments with her jersey and letter jacket. We also invited her parents to join us for a few photos. My favorites from this senior session, are the ones with her in bell sleeves. The way the light is shining through the trees and reflects off the tall grass is really beautiful.
I’m so proud of Jennelle! Not only is she super talented, but she has a big heart and is so sweet. While I’m sad to see her graduate in May, I’m excited to see what the Lord has in store for her!
