Last May, I had the honor of capturing Mark and Jamie’s wedding day in Fredericksburg, TX. I’m partial to all things Texas Hill Country, so this was such an incredible experience. SO, I figured I should share their wedding day on the blog for others to see! We started the day at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, where the ceremony would be held. Oftentimes, when I walk into a church, the lighting can be tricky, but this church had incredible lighting throughout the space. After getting into her dress, Jamie opted for a first look with her dad. This gorgeous hallway of windows leading to the church served as the perfect spot for this sweet moment.
The bride and groom also exchanged gifts, which is one of my favorite wedding traditions to capture!
For those unfamiliar, Fredericksburg was founded by German immigrants, and St. Mary’s Catholic Church has been an integral part of the city since 1846. The church was absolutely stunning. Due to church rules, I shot the entire ceremony with a telephoto lens from the back. I actually loved this because it allowed me to capture the beautiful and intricate altar as the backdrop to this union. Mark and Jamie’s classic wedding (seriously, her veil!) looks brought a modern elegance to the sanctuary that complemented each other so well! In front of their family and friends (and even some Fredericksburg tourists), these two said their vows and became Mr. + Mrs. Huber!
I loved these shots of Mark + Jamie as they exited St. Mary’s! The way they are looking at each other after saying their “I Dos” is adorable!
Following the ceremony and some traditional portraits, we headed deeper into the Texas Hill Country to the reception at the Barn at Swallows Eve. This venue is a gorgeous industrial chic barn, set in the heart of the Hill Country. It includes several ceremony sites, an English style courtyard, an outdoor cocktail hour space and an indoor bar. After an outdoor cocktail hour, the guests headed into the barn to see the most stunning reception setup. The florals were absolutely breathtaking!
Once we arrived at the Barn, we captured more family and bridal party photos. We also opted for more intimate photos of Mark + Jamie. With so much hill country landscape to work with, we couldn’t resist, even in the Texas heat!
This wedding was such a fun celebration of Mark + Jamie! The dance floor was packed all night!
One of my favorite things about this wedding was the late-night Whataburger Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits! It was the perfect way to finish off the night with the guests! It was also super fun being featured on Whataburger’s Instagram.
After dancing the night away, the guests made their way outside for the newlywed’s grand exit through a tunnel of sparklers!
This wedding was an incredible experience, and I hope that shows throughout the gallery! Mark + Jamie, thanks so much for letting me be a part of your day! Here’s to the Hubers!
